Our History

Green Seas International LTD was formed 11 years ago to meet the demand of the marine industry for ship repairs, new ship buildings and services, either Romanian ports or world wide, on around the clock basis. Also our Company is involved in civil and industrial steel construction.

During the period 1999-2003 Green Seas International Ltd was acted as subcontractor of “OK Welding Marine Ltd” Belfast, doing steel work repairs / modifications within the ballast and fuel oil tanks on board of PFSO ZAFIRO PRODUCER. Owned and operated by Exxon-Mobile, is on 40 miles of the coast of equatorial Guinea. The work itself consisting of installing vertical stiffeners or transverse bulkheads of each ballast tank as well as various repairs to longitudinal beams and brackets.

Simultaneously with these works, we doing together with “ OK Welding Marine LTD” steel works repairs for several; Ro-Ro and passengers vessels in British shipyards as Harland and Wolf Belfast, Southampton and Swansea.

From 2003 the Company diversified its activity and successfully entered in cooperation with Companies involved in Projects connected to offshore and Aluminum Industry in Norway, Sweden and Iceland. We add to our traditionally clients Company as Alcan Alesa from Switzerland/ Peder Halvorsen from Norway, Heddin from Iceland.

In the meantime we continue to work in new Shipbuilding Industry being subcontracted for executions and manufacture of aluminum superstructures and hatch covers for two fishing vessels owned by an Norwegian Company. Also our shipbuilding team have been subcontracted and performed, for two years works in Huelva and Sevilla shipyards.

In order to fulfill the Clients requirements, 25 of aluminum welders were trained and tested. They became highly qualified specialists and consequently they are currently requested to work for other Projects full of complexity and difficulty within this field.

Presently after we have open our Company Branch in Iceland we, together with our local partners are involved in Projects for executions and assembling industrial equipment and conveyors in aluminum Plants as “Nordural” and “Isal”. Expanding our activity we made investments in our own facilities. We extend the production Workshop and install new equipments in order to increase the efficiency and quality of our products.

For Alcan Alesa we made in our workshop, components for aluminums conveyors which have been install by our fitters in Aluminum Plant in Iceland and Sweden. For Peder Halvorsen Industrier AS we produce steam boilers up to,5Mw and components of oil extracting equipment which been install on offshore in North Sea.

In 2005 the company participated for a bidding and have been awarded with a Contract for construction of the diary factory belonging to Betina Impex. This investment was financed through the SAPARD Program by the funds of European Community.
